Following two hours of heavy downpours on Thursday afternoon, a section of Rajadamnoen Road in Nakhon Ratchasima's Muang district from in front of the provincial governor's residence to the entrance to Suranaree Military Camp was under up to 40cm-deep floodwater.

While 10 soldiers were trying to clear any garbage or items that block the floodwater drainage path, some students from Thesaban 1 (Burapawittayakorn) School wade through flood to return home.

Other team of municipal officials and workers were helping flood-affected residents and shops at the IT Plaza Intersection on Mitraparp Highway and the Prapa Road to move belongings onto higher grounds and install water pumps to drain flood faster.

Grossly unfair to say that as clearly there are 10 soldiers  who stay and help

They could stick a thousand troops on Korat streets and still the place would flood. Where was the rest of their unit anyway?

I use to go by the place in the picture on  the songtao  on the way to downtown and

have seen it deeper in the same spot. The 224/226 intersection also was bad, even

after putting in a bigger system.

there's no time like the present. :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

& when there is a "disaster" throw all the resources you have access to, get the problem solved as quickly as possible!  :shock1:

Thais know zero about drainage and pipework. One only has to look at Pattaya to see that. Oh, and the drains they put in where I live.

The picture doesn't show that there's a cross street where the white car is stopped

at and the cars in front of it are at a stop light. The car's at the light are on the City

Moat. The cross street act's as a dam, despite the large drain they put in last year.

The soi's either side of this, don't flood.

In past flooding in the pic, moto's parked at the curb, the water was up to the seat,

or the little one in the pic head would be all your seeing.
