Why do drinking/eating establishments run out of things on the menu or drinks list so often.

There's one Ban Chang restaurant that proudly announces on FaceBook that they have run out of food by about 2pm every Sunday. I always feel like suggesting that perhaps they should buy more stock, thus, making more money and not having to turn away disappointed customers!

That takes 'real' planning. ??

With a few exceptions i cant see many people making money in the restaurant trade in this area. Places open with big ideas and huge menus only to find they cant afford to restock.
