BANGKOK: -- A customs officer found 122 Cambodian passports left in front of the Klong Luek border checkpoint in Sa Kaew’s Aranayaprathet district on Wednesday morning.

Pattanapong Saelim, chief of the Klong Luek customs checkpoint, found a card box left unattended in front of the checkpoint, which he examined and found the passports inside.

Nobody claimed ownership of the box, which was wrapped in adhesive tape with a white paper with Cambodian writing attached to the box.

Sa Kaew immigration chief Pol Colonel Praphansak Prasarnsuk later contacted the Cambodian consul in Sa Kaew, who confirmed the passports were authentic so they were handed over to the consul.

I hope 122 people didn't just get tricked and sold into lord knows what.

Brand new I think. Courier probably forgot them. Maibpenrai.

In a box? Not a diplomatic pouch? At the border? Seems legit.
