The motto used to describe  Ayuthaya has been amended to recognize the province's place in the cultural heritage of the world.

The words "ler khun kha moradok lok" have now been added to the existing motto. This means adding to the value of world heritage.

The province was recognized by UNESCO 26 years ago for being a world heritage site of great importance.

Each province has a motto that describes what it is famous for.
