BANGKOK: -- Four persons were injured, one seriously, in a car crash on Lat Prao road during the morning rush hour Monday.

The incident happened at 6.40 a.m. on the outbound lane of the busy road when a red car, believed coming in speed, rolled over 50 metres hitting roadside tree and breaking off a traffic sign post on Lat Prao Soi 97, before climbing the sidewalk and resting on the gatewall of a shophouse.

The car front was damaged beyond recognition of what brand or type  of car it is.

But police suspected it is a modified car and it might come in high speed, as they judged from the damages it caused  to the places and the car itself.

The driver crawled out of the car and lied on the pavement, and fell unconsciously while his girlfriend sat on the front seat.

police are correct, this has a turbo modification for water injection clearly seen in the photo, and the driver evidently thinks it's the fastest pickup in Thailand - not so fast now is it.................idiot

I'm trying to work out what car it is (was) - no rear doors, but it does have hydraulic struts for a tailgate.

Believe driver is dead in hospital from news on Channel 3 just now (they aired video of the accident and aftermath).

Some fragments...

Honda Accord Coupe.

A female front-seat passenger heavy injured.

Two pedestrians on the sidewalk injured in hospital.

Note the car on his side of divider that accident vehicle is avoiding.  That road is very dangerous in mornings when police allow traffic on wrong side of divider and do not believe it is normally allowed in that area at all - especially that early in the morning.
