Is there anyone living in Nongbualamphu??

Featured Replies

Just enquiring as I see farangs in Tesco Lotus but there doesn't seem to be any social place to meet have a beer and a chinwag in Nong Bua Lamphu.

I tried to find a similar thread that I remember to no avail...

I was in NBL about a year ago(?) just before the MAKRO cash&carry was opened.

On this side of the road between the lake/market and before MAKRO there were two bars/restaurants.

I can't tell you what the current situation is.

This street view picture is 3 years old and both places empty at the time.

But as said, I was there and you should have a look.

At the right hand place twice a week a German baker sells good quality rye bread, rolls, pretzels and stuff if that is of interest for you.

Try pizza Pinocchio. You may have to Google it. Its on the south side of nbl and a little hard to find. Italian expat owner and good pizza. Always a few farang when Ive stopped in.

Thank you guys - the one opposite Tesco (approx) one is closed but the Lucky Bar is still open - they say Sunday is the meeting time but not tried.  Will try the Pizza place.

Cheers,

Peter
