Tourists from countries listed as Sars-affected by the World Health Organisation will be issued a health passport on arrival at all entry points such as at Bangkok International Airport.

Do you think tourists will follow the requirements with several helath checks ups during their stay in Thailand?

daa dumb expensive idea.  Sovenier health cards are way out of style, you bet sha buddy!

George, do you have a web link, to this proposed measure ?

It's supposed to be implemented soon, right ?

...

About the measure, not sure how practical it is ...

It would mean, around 1.6M additional visit to GP (see assumption Below)

...

Fact: May 2002 visitors: 800,000

See http://www.tat.or.th/stat/index.html

Assumption:

- Every Visitors to Thailand has to Visit a GP every 3 Days

- 30% less Visitor in May 2003 compare to May 2002

- Average Stay 7 Days (Actual in 2002 7.9x)

- One visit every 3 days (minimum 2 visits per stay)

- 100 THB per Visit

So From a $$ perspective, that looks good to me:

- Total Estimated Visitor sfor May 2003: 560,000

- Total visit to the GP: 2x560,000 = 1,120,000

- Additional Income: 1,120,000 * 100 = 112M THB per month

$$$ ... let's open a tourist Clinic !

I'm very interested to know who can signed it ...

Arrghhh ...

Tourists from countries listed as Sars-affected by the World Health Organisation

And here goes my business plan ...
