House Water Pump

Featured Replies

My Hitachi water pump has packed in after 10 years, any recommendations for a new one?. Thinking of buying a cheaper less powerful one, only have two bathrooms, kitchen sink and outside loo to supply.

Does your house have a second floor? If not, nearly any household pump will do.

I have Hitachi's 150 watt unit, which I think is their smallest, and it does our house fine. And we have an upstairs hong nam. Got six years out of it so far. I wouldn't go smaller for our place though.

Went out and bought a Mitsubishi WP85Q5 at 4550 Baht. The local builders supply shop had a shelf full of water pumps. No mains water to our place, pump from an underground well to tanks and then pump into house.

Found this in the forum, useful info. The Hitachi was a constant pressure pump, expensive 10 years back, but a reliable pump. Had a neighbour try and repair it.
