I could have sworn we had to pay a deposit for each of those water bottles you use on a cooler. It was about 3 years ago but I remember it being about 170 THB each I thought.

 

When we tried to get the deposit back this week the fella said we didn't pay a deposit and just collected them.

 

My memory could be wrong, any one recall if a deposit is usually taken and how much?

When you pay a deposit there is normally a clear receipt provided that is then required to obtain refund - at least that is the way it works for phone/internet and such.  Do you have a receipt drawer/file you can check?
