June 18, 20178 yr I was wondering if there were any Op shops /thrift shops in Bangkok where I could donate used clothes and goods or purchase used furniture? Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
June 18, 20178 yr While others should still feel free to reply, I suggest also this doing a Google search of the ThaiVisa forum site with your keywords of interest: site:ThaiVisa.com thrift shops in bangkok ...click the above and see what's already been discussed on the topic.

It's especially in the weekends after 5 pm and all night long. And i discovered some more markets like that but don't know the streetnames. There are new markets being built in the subs or they extend the older markets.
June 20, 20178 yr I have never come across a "thrift" shop in Thailand. When I have all sorts of stuff to give away from cloths, furniture etc., I simply leave it on the Soi beside one of those blue bins where it can be seen. It's nearly always taken away within 30 mins. Those people who collect the "plastics" from the bins are more than delighted. Even a broken TV or anything of that nature can be dismantled to make some money for them.
June 20, 20178 yr Donate it to the cleaning ladies / guards if you live in a condo, or there are 2nd hand japanese thrift stores right on top of soi 39 and in soi 37.
June 20, 20178 yr Take whatever you want to donate outside, leave it almost anywhere and put a ‘For Sale’ sign on it. The higher the asking price the more quickly it will be adopted by someone in need.
June 20, 20178 yr I have used a place called Second Chance for years.....on their website you can request a pick-up date and they will arrange pick-up at your building. I just leave labeled bag with security guard in my building. Very convenient to use.
