Hello me and my wife are trying to sort out a uk settlement visa and not sure what to say for intended travel.

This is because we have ended with her having a flight back to London on 24th July 2017 (Why long boring , expensive ,story But was cheaper to buy return than a single ).

So I want to say this date to travel but know it's unlikely but not impossible for it to be this quick .

If I put this date and it's approved later than the 24th July will they just start it from date approved .

Will this cause problems for the application as everything else needed is in pretty good order

Hope this makes sense

She could request the 24 July, it's pushing it as the applications are now processed in the UK, but she could strike lucky.

If she doesn't make this date, she will have 30 days from the date printed on the visa vignette in which to travel and collect her BRP from the nominated Post Office.

I'd be getting a move on.

Thanks theoldgit

So it's worth putting early date might get lucky

It will not affect the application that we have an unrealistic time frame

One last thing the wife just told me she needs a 1500baht police check

Is this correct

Thanks

No she doesn't need a police check, for the UK.

She does need to have passed an English Test and undergo a TB Examination which of course needs to be clear.

With the supporting letter put yourself in the shoes of the decision maker, who will read numerous supporting letters every day. Most the information is in the application, so whilst you might want to highlight some pertinent points, you don't need to rewrite the application and you certainly don't what to write your life history, if you fully meet the criteria the visa will be issued.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the scanning, it's just a new method of getting the supporting documents to the decision maker, the requirements remain the same.
