Samsung air conditioner switches on and then off

I have a Samsung air con unit in one room in my house, it was fine last night and then this morning I switch it on and it makes its usually chime noise and then immediately makes the noise again and switches off and the main light on it is flashing green. Tried a different remote from a unit (exact same make & model) in another room with the same result, tried changing the batteries also.

 

Im guessing its going to need some kind of repair but as its a holiday weekend that could be at least 1-2 days, is there anything I can do myself?

I had a similar problem with my Panasonic unit..........try switching it off at the mains panel for a few minutes let it reset itself and try switching on again......worked for me :thumbsup:

It is trying to tell you something. 

Count how many times the green light flashes, then google "samsung air conditioner error codes".

Might just be time for a filter clean.
