BANGKOK — Thailand will welcome July and the second half of the year with rain showers across the kingdom.

Similar to the past seven days, the country will see another half-week of rain, the Thai Meteorological Department said Monday. Bangkok will see a 40 percent chance of rain today, increasing to 60 percent Tuesday through Saturday.

Temperatures in the capital are set to range from 24C to 37C throughout the week.

raining this afternoon in Hua Hin which is rare compared to the rest of the country as Hua Hin has the least amount of rain of any place in Thailand.

That is why the big guy built the summer palace here.

really ?

Take a look at this from the Thai Met office .  If you care to scroll down to p5 you will see that the North had the lowest average in 2015 ( the latest complete records).  Whilst in that year it was 180.8 below seasonal normal it still puts it as the lowest rainfall region in Thailand.

Maybe it is just a case of those that live there thinks the sun always shines in Hua Hin ?

Welcome to July you lucky Thai people, and Happy Expats!

Still the rainy season, No!  I am waiting until October when the sun shines

brightly and the weather cools down in the evenings.
