The problem is that he has got a release clause in his contract which means if a team offers 5.5 mill he can go!!!

I like Barton but I think he is a greedy bar steward with a greedy agent. There was an article I read that stated Newcastle were offering him a contract worth 3 million a year which is a heck of a lot more than he is on right now. Guess we just have to wait and see
