Pluemjit Thinkaow, the captain of the Thai women’s volleyball team, has made a new record by becoming the player who has played the highest number of matches of the World Grand Prix volleyball campaign after the Thai-Japanese match in which Thailand lost 2-5 to Japan in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, on Sunday morning (July 8) Thai time.

Following the Thai-Japanese match, Pluemjit was put on record as having played 15 times in the World Grand Prix tournament, followed by fellow team mates Wilawan Apinyapong and Nussara Tomkham with 14 times each.

Pluemjit has played in all World Grand Prix events since 2002, except in 2007, when she was away playing in the World University Games. The Thai women’s volleyball team captured the 4th place in 2012 and 6th in 2011.
