Replace iPad screen in Pattaya?

Featured Replies

Hello all

I need to replace my cracked iPad screen and don't want to pay Apple prices. Are there alternatives locally? Has anyone bought a third party replacement? How much does it costs?

thanks to anyone who can help and regards to all

Tuk Com Pattaya Tai - Plenty of places upstairs - IIRC, I paid 800B but Mrs CL reckons that was Farang price.

Shop around for prices.

There is also a shop that specialised in Apple products, if your looking into the Tukcom car park the shop is on your left about 50 Mtrs, big sign over the door. A friend had an I pad repaired including straightening the frame, total cost 600 baht.

Compare because because sometimes the official Apple Store price will be less then the local Thai cheat who just wants to ripoff a farang...so compare and bargain mercilessly!

Had a shattered screen replace 3rd party/gray market in Pattaya.  Worked great.  Had other problems with the IPAD took it to Apple - they didn't notice that the screen replacement wasn't theirs.  It was MUCH cheaper.  And faster.  You'll find lots of honest techs on the 2nd floor of the Pattaya computer center off Pattaya Thai road. I had a good experience.  800 hundred baht sounds right.  Good luck.

TukCom Pattaya Tai - indeed the best place to get things done.
My favorite shop : GALAXY , as you go up  2nd floor from the street entrance ,
look to your left in the corner , the repair guy has a HUGE screen to do
diagnostic, save data, etc. Price has been very accceptable and quality :
simply the BEST.  Of course you can bargain .
Bought a used iPad and sold my old one , very satisfied !!  Cheers.

I went here too, more than once, had a new screen, new battery, new wifi antenna, new charging circuit (all on different iPads). Always good service, never seemed overpriced, always resolved the problem presented.

These non-apple screens create problems with ios upgrades and simply don't last. I've had numerous screens replaced and had problems down the road with all of them.

My iPad mini screen now is purple in the corners and the areas are getting bigger. iPhone 5S screen turns red intermittently and I have to frequently do a hard restart and won't upgrade correctly.

If this is an older Apple product and would rather pay 1/3 than getting a new one, okay. Just remember the chances of the screen being anywhere as good as the original are nil. If you get six months out of fake you're doing good.

there's a non affiliated Apple shop on Siam Country Club Rd between Sukhumvit and the railway road. It's on the left if coming from Sukhumvit. My Mac Pro was totally not working. This guy fixed it (new graphics card) in a couple hours for a very cheap price.
