Is a 28" Empty Luggage permitted on a City Bus?

Featured Replies

I have a Samsonite 28 inch piece of luggage that is empty that I need to take to have repaired. The Samsonite repair shop is near Big C on Rama 4 Road in Klong- toey and I live in Lumpini on Rama 4 about 3 kilometers away. My question is can I take this empty luggage on a city bus with no problems or will they not allow it on there? I prefer to take the bus if possible rather than a cab. If anyone has taken luggage on city buses before I would appreciate  your sharing your experience. Thanks in advance.

Nobody will say anything or try to stop you. Just don't do it at peak commuting times when it is packed and standing room only. I take the buses in BKK everyday and people bring just about everything on.

As a follow-up if anyone is at all interested, I took a city bus there and back this morning and not one word said to me on either one. They both acted like it was perfectly normal. Got there at 9am, had the luggage repaired for no charge and back home by 11:30 am. Life is good.

If you can afford a Samsonite suitcase, I'm sure you can afford a taxi fare. Why take the bus? Doesn't make any logical sense.
