The postal service to my village is very bad and MANY letters never arrive.

 

I would like to ask if any Thailand based TV members have received the Life Certification paper yet.  I only knew about last year thanks to posts on here.

 

Any news will be appreciated.

I've received 2 life forms in the 5 years since receiving my pension,  if your worried at all telephone the UK IPC.

If you are not too far from your local post office, you might check on renting a PO Box.

I have a PO Box where I live upcountry ( near KK ), to avoid lost mail - beware !

Since the post office has become a jointly owned affair much of my post goes missing,

whether it is to my home address or PO Box address ( set up to avoid lost mail ).  This never happened when it was Thai Post Office.

Letters have been opened and resealed, envelopes that contain birthday cards never arrive.

I worry about things like replacement / new bank cards.

 

Regarding PO Box address, I recently ordered books from Kinokuniya Book Store in Bangkok.

When the courier tried to deliver to the post office this is what the courier was told;

"Our courier service can't deliveryย  and drop your book order at the P.O.Box
because it was rejected by the post office policy of competition service".

"Restrictive Practice..." ?

 

Yes the bookstore and courier should have known before hand, it would have saved them time / money, 

and I could be reading a new book today.
