Australian plane passenger checks in can of beer

A man has successfully checked in a can of beer as his only luggage on a domestic flight in Australia.

The man, identified in media as Dean Stinson, said he and a friend had come up with the idea as a joke.

The can arrived, tagged and unopened, as the first item on the baggage carousel at Perth Airport after a four-hour journey from Melbourne.

Well done mate, only an Aussie would come up with something like that.

I would be more worried about an Aussies hand baggage

what's the name of the airline? if they can't manage to lose a can of beer, than they must be very good with luggage.

that's funny; love to see a video or photo of that can on the baggage carousel; imagine if there were many copycats of this stunt; THAT would make a great vid

Saw this on the BBC website yesterday, the airline was Quantas and it showed a picture of the can on the carousel.

Apparently it was the first item off the plane but no-one said if it had actually been put in the hold.

A hilarious story amongst all the grim news.

When I was a kid I put some leftover food in an envelope and mailed it to Biafra. I thought that was a terrific wheeze. Then I turned eleven.

Obviously insufficient foreplay......

Is this a positive or a negative???

Why would you send a can of Emu Export FROM Melbourne TO Perth? Not exactly a shortage of Emu in the West.

Does make me proud to be an Aussie but.
