I just bought a 16L 8-Stage Water filter. It is a Kenta natural mineral water system that I came accoss in tesco. It uses gravity to slowly percolate regular tap water through 8 transformational steps. The 8 stage filtration system Apparently removes harmful contaminants while keeping your drinking water full of essential minerals such as Calcium, Zinc and Magnesium that are vital for good health.

On the box they list the following stages and benefits.
Stage 1- Dome Ceramic filter with pore size of 0.2 of a micron, it removes rust and sediments and stops bacteria such as cholera, typhoid and coliforms.
Stage 2- Activated carbon and Silver Advanced Carbon, it removes chemicals, traps dirt, rust, silt and chlorine.

Stage 3- WSM 300 (material with a sterilizing powder ) the material kill any bacteria and prevent the filtered water storage tank from re-pollution.

Stage 4- Silica Sand

It promotes healthy bone, connective tissue and helps prevent premature aging, cardiovascular and Alzheimers disease.

Stage 5- Mineral Zeolite Granules

Removes heavy metal
Stage 6- Mineral Sand Infusion

Release mineral to replenish minerals lost during the purification process..
Stage 7- Mineral Stone Immersion

Jade contains calcium and magnesium which relieves fatigue, improves metabolism and expands capillaries in the vascular system.
Stage 8- Magnetic Water Faucet

Magnet restores the waters natural energy and balance and enhances taste.

I have just started to use it and I must admit that the taste is something that is taking me some time to get used to.  I guess it is getting all those minerals that I have been missing out on,  because in the past have been using those RO machines that remove all the good minerals.

Anyway at just over 1000 baht it seems very cheap if what is claimed turns out to be true.  I'll stick at it and see if any health benefits result.   Any thoughts on the matter welcome.

Any info on the filters themselves ? How low (in time or liters) can they be used and what are the costs of replacing (i.e. can you do it your self ) ?

Ceramic filter 195 baht, but this can be cleaned with soap and water to increase its usable life. .   the stage filter which does steps 2-6 is also 195 baht.  Unfortunately there Is no information included in the box about how often to change filters but another website selling similar item states approx twice a year. The mineral stones, stage 7 last around 5 years. Very simple setup and very easy to replace parts.

Thanks thought they were the ones.

Had one used it for two days and binned it.

Reason did a strip test on water. Tap water was cleaner and less chemicals in it. It could of course just been the one i bought was malfunctioning.
