Had a chance to sample some Irish whiskey cream tea at afternoon tea in Penang and really enjoyed it. Was wondering if it is available in Chiang Mai and if so where.

Thanks

You had me at "Irish whiskey".
And then you come with the "cream tea".
In the bloody afternoon, no less!

Needless to say, I'll be following this thread with a greedy and abiding interest!

I didn't see the packaging for it but looks like it would be either the same or similar.

I'll keep an eye out for it around Bangkok, would like to try it myself. If i do find some, i'll let you know Genericnic, could always post you some, if you cannot find in Chiang Mai.

Thanks guys. I just sent off an email to the Eastern & Oriental Hotel in George Town, Penang where I had the tea and asked what brand they serve. If I hear back, I'll post what they tell me.

Basically, just some Assam tea with a few chemical additives I guess?...... DIY.... a decent tea with a nip of Jameson's would serve you better.

Id prefer it with a bit of Baileys...but maybe that would curdle with tea?  Oh well Ill just have to stick to coffee and Baileys!
