  1. I don't remember if it was Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos, as far as I remember one of them does not allow power point or similar in meetings.
  2. I remember people talked about that more than 30 years ago. But as far as I remember most people didn't see lots of advantages from video calls to voice only calls. In my personal experience, most of the time I call people "voice only". And most call me like that. My gf likes to use video calls. It's ok, when I am at home. But if I am outside and it's loud then I tell her let's switch to voice call with the ear on the phone for better communication. IMHO video is overrated.
  3. Just follow the news.
  4. If a foreigner chooses to live away from home, then it should be no surprise that things are different than back home. If you want a "normal" life, then stay home and do what everybody else does.
  5. I also would prefer Pita. But this is not how the election process of the PM works in Thailand. People vote for parties. And the parliament votes for the PM - this is no direct vote by the people. This is how it works in many countries, not just in Thailand.
  6. Maybe he will sell a special edition of the constitution - optimized by Trump for Trump.
  7. My parents both died because of heart failure. I make sure I see enough pretty girls to keep my heart beating.
  8. Those industries will certainly receive a big share of the handouts. No surprise at all. Thank you, Thaksin, for channeling taxpayers' money into the pockets of your lackeys.
  9. It's easy. Have your income and all expenses in the same currency. Problem solved.
  10. Unfortunately, I wouldn't bet on that. I remember some years ago when Yingluck was PM. Many Thais told me that they are proud to have a beautiful PM. I don't think anybody mentioned any other qualities...
  11. Only idiots and narcists publish videos of themselves crying how bad the world around them is.
  12. Learn about dogs or cats or whatever you have in mind in detail. Read a book or two which was written by experts. Too many people watch some YouTube video from someone who also doesn't know what he/she is doing. Pets have needs. Be nice to them or don't have pets. Pets cost money. You should go with them regularly to the doctor for checkups. And if they need some treatment, make sure you can afford it. Some animal hospitals are not too expensive, but if you have to visit all the time that adds up. And last but not least, remember: A pet is for live and not just for Christmas. If you don't have the time, now and in a couple of years, then don't get a pet!
  13. I was told by an accountant that it takes time. I think the main part was that "you" have to wait for possible invoices which the company has to pay. Even if you know there are no invoices open, that doesn't mean the authorities know that.
  14. What was the question of the poll? Somehow, I think they should have mentioned this little detail.
  15. Sometimes I eat homemade, sometimes from the market, or from the street, or restaurants. All can be good and sometimes it makes sense to buy it from vendors who don't do anything else.
  16. I thought I have something special today. 70 THB in Sukhumvit Soi 22. I liked it.
  17. Did anybody expect that she does anything concerning Trump for free? Next thing someone will suggest she married him because she loves him. Yeah, sure.
  18. AI can do lots of things very fast. And it can combine knowledge from many fields together. I use now this AI if I have some questions and often it has good answers. Perplexity And I can ask additional questions. The reason why I use this AI is because it shows footnotes where the information comes from. So, I can dig deeper myself if I want to. Obviously, nobody should make the mistake to 100% trust the AI. But it can help a lot. Something to compare might be a calculator. I know it works different and all that, but it can answer questions of a limited scope very fast and accurately. And we should be aware of input errors and if we are not sure, doublecheck the details.
  19. I don't know, and it is difficult. It seems being rich and having everything doesn't make us happy. Just hanging around eating and drinking and fu$#$# might be exiting for some time. But all the time year after year? It seems we humans need challenges. And when we "work hard" and have smart ideas and we have good results, that makes us happy. And if we fail and try again that also helps. I guess if we all could have our individual paradise, which we can change anytime if we feel like it, that could be interesting. But if it would be a shared paradise with the same people, how would that work? No jealousy anymore? How about if we like one of the wives of the neighbor? Will he tell us, go ahead, do what you want, and bring her back tomorrow morning? Or is it possible that he wouldn't like our idea and be angry?
  20. Light needs cables. In the moment I use lots of LED strips with 24V and LED controllers. Years ago, I would probably have used 5V. Maybe in the future it makes sense to use 48V, or whatever. There are many levels of home automation, from the change of one or a few light bulbs to everything. My condominium is ready for "everything". Will I need all my empty pipes which allow low voltage power cables, LAN cables and control cables everywhere? Probably not. But now I use already some of them and I have almost unlimited possibilities. I like that - and I like to play around with things like that.
  21. I don't think it has a timer. I control my fan with a switch and Home Assistant. I have a duct which is a couple of meter long. As far as I remember I bought it in HomePro.
  22. Maybe I would like something else better. What I do mostly before I buy something is that I do a little research on the internet. What's available? What to people write about it? Forums, Videos, etc. When I did this Omada looked good to me. So, I bought the basic parts and tried it. And I liked it. And then I bought some additional parts, and until now all works fine. Is it the best for small network managements? I don't know. But it works good enough for me and until now I never missed a feature which I had to look up if it is available with another product. And the same principle applies for me to Home Assistant. I looked at alternatives before I bought anything. And then I bought the basics and tried this and that. It always takes time to get used to any new system. I spend the time, and it does what I want. Maybe at some stage I will change to something else than Omada and/or something else than Home Assistant. My cabling is easily accessible so if I have to change something that is no problem for me. But currently all works fine with above, so I have no reason to look for any better alternative.
  23. I have this one: CEILING VENTILATOR 10IN PANASONIC FV-24CHT5 (homepro.co.th) Main criterium for me was a large diameter. Because large diameter = low RPM = low noise. It is so quiet that basically I don't hear if it is on. And when I use a tissue to test it then it seems to me the airflow is substantial. I can highly recommend it.
