The problem is you never know who is going to move in close to you. It can be great for years and then change all of the sudden. We were looking at property to buy in one area but decided not to buy there. About a year later someone opened a Karaoke bar in one of the lots. So glad we didn't buy there. Where we ending up buying is about 3-4 kilometers from there and I can hear the music at our property. And forget buying close to a Wat. Even if you aren't that close they like to set up speakers a few kilometers away to make sure everyone can hear them.

Without knowing the whole story. Were any of the company's assests left the the Thai owners? Did she will everything to the maid? It would seem if so the other owner(s) of the company would have claims to its assests too.
