  1. Came with all the cars we've bought. Never really needed. Present car has 5 yr free roadside assistance.
  2. Again with the social norms ... really. Where are they listed at. Is it illegal for men to walk around shirtless ? Some of those shirtless folks aren't nearly as entertaining as many of the clothed folks I've seen.
  3. Respect ... ... telling other people their body is gross and they should cover up. A social norm. Part of what is wrong with society. People telling other people how to live. My body, my choice, seems to be very selective.
  4. Is there something wrong with the human body ? We came into the world naked. Shirt/shirtless ... really. Division, labels, HiSo/LoSo. Judgements from all you perfect people. Race Color Sex, and or preference Religion, or lack of Education Work Social status Rich, poor EVs, ICEVs Carnivores, Vegans, Vegetarians FFS ... labels labels labels Live and Let Live in my world ... UP2U
  5. Depends what and where I order. If know the vendor, than order accordingly; normal or not so spicy. If don't know vendor, then not spicy ... but ... I travel w/cayenne pepper, and can spice it up, if wanting. Never worry about them going crazy spicy, and ruining my meal. Spicy is not a food, it's a flavor enhancer. I prefer to take what I'm eating. Thai chili is too acidic when they OD it. Cayenne is half the heat on the Scoville scale (50k vs 100k)
  6. Yes, the warning about spike proteins were warned by many experts. Only to be countered by the 'snake oil sales persons' that they, spike protein, would only remain at the point of inoculation/arm. Not traveling through body causing major issues. And people believed it ... https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34100279/
  7. Why I no longer trust anything from FDA, not that I ever did, as they've taken so many drugs off the market that the previously approved ... nuff said. Add WHO & CDC to list of my 'untrustworthy' source of any info.
  8. A fender bender with NO injures making the news What next ... "bus avoids accident by using brakes" I stumped my toe last week, and completely bruised under the nail. DailyMail wouldn't pay me for the story, hence not reported.
  9. @oobar PM sent, as not sure I can post info here
  10. I consider horse racing in TH's heat nothing but animal cruelty, even more so than in western countries where it's still allowed. Horrible industry.
  11. @oobar Like your wife, I was told I now have cataracts, in one eye, obvious formation of, and nothing noticeable in the other. One eye doc simply told me about, and when asked how to slow progression, suggested shades. Always a 2nd opinion guy, so 2nd doc also suggested shades ... BUT ... prescribed drops. strange the 1st didn't, as didn't suggest surgery now or in future. I believe the drops are working, inexpensive, and not intrusive obviously. Every 6 hours or so, or when I remember. I say working, as when I wake, I have a lot more morning crunchies in the left (cataract'd) eye, than the other. So some de-calcification going on, or whatever it's doing. DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a Doc. Drops (banned) for use on humans in some EU & USA, I think, as apparently they, IMHO, would rather sell surgeries. They do allow for use in pets, and vets will have & suggest for cats & dogs ... go figure. Inexpensive and can find on internet <฿100. Eye doc sold for ฿120, and have found for as low as ฿80 I sticking with drops, as not a fan of someone toying with my eye, cheap enough, and I didn't even notice I had cataract anyway, until latest eye chart test, then very noticeable. Left eye is not my power eye anyway, so not really an issue. On surgery, price, a bud had done at Khon Kaen hospital, not sure which, and if memory serves, 38k each eye, and that was more than a few years ago.
  12. If I don't know what it is, and in the yard, then it won't end well for the snake. Wife, dog & myself have no desire to die or lose a limb if bitten. Agree, unless you can positively ID the snake, and definitely not a risk.
  13. that stuff is just vile ... agree, and amazed it seems to be top seller, and usually the one offered at hotels when supplied in rooms Wonder if they get a major discount, or people just don't drink it, and they save money that way. Moccona Buddy Dean Super at least they resemble the taste of coffee
  14. Because most Thais have universal healthcare, and they aren't guests.
  15. Maybe they are purposely profiling for show, hopefully, and it will get around to all the ignorant & arrogant foreigners that fail to follow the laws. Then maybe hospitals will get paid, no more 'go fund my stupidity' pages, and maybe, even save a few idiots from themselves. I'm all for it, max fine, confiscate vehicle, make 'em walk or taxi away from the checkpoint.
  16. Here's our 1 phase, installed. 8kWh Inverter/20kWh ESS No recommendation, as located below Hua Hin. Produces just enough for the house (<10kWh/day) on a few crappy days in a row, to probably 50+ kWh on good day, as we've haven't needed more. Only produced 49, as that day we exported 15kWh. Produces more than enough to charge the EVs with excess solar.
  17. Location dependent. As TH, paved streets are walkway, now pavements. As walkways are store fronts & restaurants.
  18. Childhood sucked, but always good food & roof over head, so can't complain too much. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Could do without the alcoholic parents, but aside from that, really wouldn't change much, as obviously contributed to who I am today.... that end product. And I kind of like & respect the guy in the mirror ... all that matters.
  19. Sometimes photos help people believe. "Dude, went diving with a bunch of sharks, no cage" .... "yea right"
  20. Yes, need to update more often. It got so bad, I only make a withdrawal every couple months, so there isn't much in the passbook at all. Dep, dep, dep, withdrawal. Book lasts quite sometime before renewing.
  21. I need subtitles when watching non Yank movies. Or I'll miss a lot. If I watch the trailer, and can't understand the strong UK, Irish or Aussie accent, then I'll give it a pass, as no desire to read a movie.
  22. I do intermittent fasting, 12-15 hrs a day. Usually stop eating between 2100-2400 hrs, then first meal is around noon the following day. So half of that while sleeping. Have morning coffee, and read, walk at park w/dog. No food cravings at all. If busy, might not even eat till 1500 hrs. Eat anything I want, and best thing so far that's worked.
  23. But they're only once a month for a few days ... Myself, do 1000 mg Vit C a day, and a multi vit & a multi vit, since my diet sucks from younger days. I rarely, if ever get sick, viral/bacteria, and if I do, last a day, maybe. My immune system amazes me, much to the dismay of wife & kid.
