  1. If he followed the law, then he wouldn't have a problem. I get wanting asylum and leaving El Salvador. He escaped El Salvador, when (assuming) he entered Guatemala. Or he could have went to Honduras, or Belize, or Nicaragua. NO, instead, after escaping El Salvador, into Guatemala, he traveled about 2500 kms to the USA border, and illegally entered the USA. Could have legally asked for asylum in 2 countries along the way, and or, at the border of the USA, like all the other legally entering asylum seekers. But he chose to be a criminal ... ... oh well, live with our choices. I didn't illegally enter TH, and if I did, I would expect to be deported
  2. A criminal got deported. I'm not seeing an problem ... "in 2011, Abrego Garcia, at the age of 16, fled El Salvador and then illegally entered the United States" ... - wiki
  3. I actually hope it does Opinions are fine, but all the hate, stay home with that. If here, please leave
  4. I know one couple
  5. With that paranoia, guess they never eat at restaurants either
  6. A favorite of ours, if on Hwy #4, only 5 mins / 4.5 kms away. If taking scenic route, from Sam Roi Yot Beach to PKK, then you pass it on the way.
  7. Even Yoda couldn't do that ... ... and why would anyone want that Phæng māk māk
  8. After I broke a couple glass 'presses' had to go SS.
  9. Watch the 'Lord of War' ... best movie, mockumentary out there. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399295/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_lord%20of%20war
  10. Stop supplying the toys to kill each other. But where's the profit in that 5 permanent members of the "UN inSecurity Council" are some of the top weapon exporters. Making the world a better, safer place But they, the UN is always here to help ...
  11. Checked that one off ... ... now, moving down that 'bucket list' 👍 Can't say I haven't done the same, though a lot more discreet than that. On a Patts walkway ... nah, not on any of my lists
  12. I'm low tech and can't afford that fancy mug. Drink my first cup, while 2nd cup is still filtering. Use French press, then passes through paper filter. First cup fills up fast, 2nd a bit slower, and needs a reheat in the microwave. Drink them down while catching up on the world, and trolling AN, while being entertained. Get my morning comic relief, almost all in one place, before moving over to real news and educational vid programming
  13. Got me beat, as actually weighed my morning cup, 425ml. Rarely drink coffee after 1200 hrs. 28 oz = 828ml
  14. I'm convinced I know what I'm thinking, you're just guessing. A favorite AN member past time, reading into other's posts what 'you' think, not what the poster thinks. I'm a big fan of 'freedom of speech, expression & press', so should give you some clue. Apparently not.
  15. If lucky enough to even have a balcony or a window to look out I suspect many don't, considering how cheaply they tells us they can live on. Apparently a decent condo would take half their income, saving the other half for cans of Archer & fags. Livin' the Dream, although TH does seem a better choice than some cold and damn council dwelling
  16. I did an edit, before your post. If a scholar, then he should know not to 'share' false info. Doesn't matter if he wrote or not, he shared it, supposedly. He'll have his day in court. Held without bail is a bit much, as simply taking his passport would have sufficed. But then, it wouldn't have made the press, and an example must be made I know what I'm talking about, thank you. I'm not an official 'scholar', but know to tread lightly with my opinions
  17. "American scholar" ... that's a stretch. Dependent on what he actually said ... dumb A$$. edit: a bit moe info ... https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/american-is-arrested-in-thailand-on-charges-of-criticizing-royalty/
  18. A darker roast coffee might not be acidic or as caffeinated. Along with amount you're drinking. See earlier post about what your 'cup' size is. @Mason45 As suggested, dehydration, especially if sipping a few beers also in you daily routine.
  19. Why would I want to eat brekkie out, or sit in a bar. Never had a brekkie out that I couldn't prepare better myself. Without the need to shower and prep to go out in public. Have a better view from my dining table than most restaurants and bars, unless they are surfside or high on a hill with a view. Same goes for a bar, and last place you'd find me, sipping a few, whether in the USA or TH. Saying that, I did enjoy my brew pub time, quite often when living in Memphis, TN, USA area. But it was a really nice pub, in house brewery with excellent view and nice setting. Once a week was enough though. Added plus, I rode my bicycle to it, and return trip was all downhill But to eat 2 or 3 brekkies out or sit in a bar 2 or 3 times a week, NO THANKS, boring. Only not having a decent kitchen would necessitate dining out.
  20. At temp, frigs and especially freezers draw very little electric. Even in a busy restaurant they wouldn't draw that much.
  21. Socialism ... ... Soon or later, you run out of other people's money ❤️
