  1. Exactly. IF they are that unhealthy, aged, then they should probably avoid people, as much as possible, and buy a real mask & googles, that might offer better protection. Because the crap I see people wear, is basically useless ... IMHO Yet to see anyone, wearing the proper gear, properly ... IMHO YES ... IMHO & past experience, using a vaper mask, that didn't keep 100% of dust particles out of my nose, in my job, and that's with a huge exhaust fan sucking the bad air away from me.
  2. Guessing someone missed the zoning law about building so far from high tide mark...oops. Rising seas & tidal wave ... got to blame it something. If admit to stupidity, might not get the funds to fix it.
  3. In my experience & observations, poverty is usually self induced. Get a job, get 2 or 3 if needed. Stop buying crap that doesn't appreciate. Stop using credit. If you can't pay cash, you can't afford it, yet. Nobody is impressed when you can't pay your bills at the end of the month.
  4. @Ombra if not too personal a query, what organ, if a specific one, and what are they looking for ? Or just a check up. As when I have done, it's fill up on water, and wait to you need to pee/bladder near full, then the ultrasound is done. If not, it has a hard time distinguishing the internals & external part of ... I think. Once I didn't drink up prior (provided by hosp), and the test was inconclusive and they actually wanted to do different test. Finding this out at the end of the day when getting results, and I suggested we do it again (no charge) with full bladder. 2nd run & all normal. Seems all don't agree on the water thing ... yes or no. yes to water made a positive difference in mine.
  5. Being the car is still 'in tack', it obviously wasn't the battery pack. Apparently brought under control fast enough. A wiring oops next to combustible material, maybe. Will be get a follow and cause/origin of the fire ? Maybe pg 23, next to the '2 free memory foam pillows w/bed purchase' advert.
  6. Wrong ... they are an embarrassing F'g idiot ... ... IMHO
  7. USA - land of opportunity, always has been, is, and always will be. Ignore the divisive MSM. Millions enter the country every year, many risking their lives, just for that opportunity. That those born there don't take advantage of it ... oh well. So no, no sympathy for non achievers. Financially successful people worked to be so, unless born with that silver soon, but guessing most, were not. "There are about 22 million millionaires in the U.S. 8.8 % of U.S. adults are millionaires. 33% of U.S. millionaires are women" source

As could I, as passed my life expectancy @ 67.7 yrs.
  11. That's actually almost believable ... especially if you've been in the gridlock, southbound on Fri/Sat, or northbound Sun/Mon. Timing is everything. Works out to about 200-240k a week. A few long weekend, and day trips. I've been there probably 10 times this year. If out on the weekends, I always make sure I'm going in the opposite direction. "The overwhelming majority of these tourists, numbering 6,302,919, were Thai nationals, while 295,901 were international guests."

Bless his little heart. Yea, that's a bit different, and chance of surviving surgery, if other issues or how severe cancer is & growth. Ignorant bliss would have been nice, but 94, think I already knows he's on borrowed time. I think that, and I'm only 68.
  13. Cheap is relative. But I'd get a 2 person tent, and they're barely big enough to be roomy for 1 person. Make sure it seals, zips up very secure, as you don't want anything slithering in and cuddling up to you. As suggested, definitely get a tarp. Or 2, using the 2nd stung up as additional rain protection.

Why not hop a flight to TH, and have the surgery done here ?
  15. @Datsun 1200 I would be remiss if I didn't mention MG's release next year & affordable ???? His & Hers for about same price as the Nissan. source
  16. Starting @ $121k, ???? more than my house & car, all in. How about something someone will actually buy. Will pass most other ICEV, but trouble passing petrol stations ???? A whole 4.8 kms per L, Range 342 kms ???? Gears ... ???? , that's a shame. 0-60 mph 2.9 sec Or, you could surrender 0.2 sec, and get his & her Tesla 3 Performance model, and have over 10k change, without the rebates. Or, something practical, big ol' heavy truck, and buy the Mrs a different Model 3. "The Rivian R1S is a big heavy truck, but it can still sprint to 60 mph in 3 seconds and cost around $78,000. Then again it all comes down to price and your personal tastes of course—because there’s basically no difference in the 0-60 times between the Rivian and the Tesla. The cheapest, yet fastest EV for the money, will jump from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds is the Model 3 Perf. starting at $53,990, especially when you factor in the $7500 federal tax credit plus other local rebates." source If 0-60 is all you care about, and not even new versions, as I can't be bothered:
  17. I wasn't comparing anything, just pointing out, I'm not a liar. You are the one that assumed I was operating commercial drones. Toys they are not, and fit my purpose of making vids, or different camera angle. And giving these idle hands something to tinker with. Personally, I would have simply admitted that oops, and extended an apology for the false implication. Instead of deflecting. But that's me. Have a nice day.
  18. With McD paying $15 an hour, I really can't see how anyone doesn't have enough money to live on. And a couple, shouldn't have a problem buying a house, and having transport, if wanting. A couple, making $60k a year, at McD, and more than I ever made at a salaried job. I never broke the 50k salary mark, any year, $49+k was my best year, salary wise. I'm not buying that people that want to work, are struggling that bad. Along with not knowing, or my family and friends complaining about them or their kids, or grandkids struggling. Granted, you many not live in one of the larger expensive cities, but would you really want to.
  19. I depends where the tooth is, and amount of teeth you still have in the area. I had one molar yanked, as not much tooth left holding the filling, that needed a touch up. Didn't see the point of a root canal & crown, 30+k baht, for 1 I don't need or can see. Especially at 67 yrs old. Still have 26 other ones, doing a fine job.
  20. so far, non existent in TH. I await the first news-blip of a LFP battery fire in any EV, especially in TH. Surely we'll have 10 threads running the day that news hits the wire.
  21. I've built my own & bought a few, 25+. Didn't say it was a downpour, just a bit of rain. Does the battery for your drone cost ฿74k, as that was the price of my E-MB. and you can by waterproof drones quite inexpensively. The whole drone, not just the battery. If wanting, how about an IP67 rating. Better than your IP45 And a spare battery, only cost $130 for the drone below. You can pay too much if you want, but intelligent people wouldn't ???? SwellPros have been out for more than a few years, since 2014. Do try to keep with current products. source I even modified one of mine from the 'chop shop' to land and take off on water ???? Even got a vid if you wish to see it, post on AN before. But thanks for calling me a liar. ... and another one on the list
