I don't understand why the police are not out getting all those people who have whitened out their plates so they can't be read by the cameras. I see them everywhere now.

And the flaw that lead to the appointment of fake electors Variations are allowable under the constitutional design. As the Supreme Court wrote in McPherson v. Blacker (1892), which rejected a constitutional challenge to a Michigan law providing for the selection of Electors by a district system, "the appointment and mode of appointment of Electors belong exclusively to the states under the constitution of the United States." We have no uniform national system for appointing Electors, which means the legislatures do not have to consult the public at all. When members of the Florida legislature in 2000 threatened to abandon the results of the statewide popular contest and appoint Electors for a particular candidate, the Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore (2000) appeared to endorse their power to do so by denying that citizens have a constitutional right to vote in presidential elections. As the majority put it, “The individual citizen has no federal constitutional right to vote for Electors for the President of the United States..." When it comes to presidential elections, the voters are at the mercy of the state legislatures.

https://apnews.com/article/fox-news-dominion-lawsuit-trial-trump-2020-0ac71f75acfacc52ea80b3e747fb0afe And from the LA Times "Although Carlson fed his viewers what they wanted to hear, his private texts to colleagues expressed disdain for Trump in the weeks after the 2020 election when the former president was spreading lies about voter fraud. “What he’s good at is destroying things,” Carlson texted to a producer on Nov. 5, 2020. “He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.” In another text just days before the Jan. 6 riot, Carlson said of Trump: “I hate him passionately. We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.”"

Snake Bites Thai Man in Toilet (short)
bunnydrops replied to Video News's topic in Video News and Updates
Saw it on the news. Looked like a pretty large snake. I had one come up my shower drain (since have put a screen over the outlet). Rural where I live gray water just dumps into ditches but toilet dump into septic. Unless the lid was off, I don't see how the snake came to be in there. -
I Hate Donald J. Trump And Here Is Why In Two Minutes
bunnydrops replied to connda's topic in Political Soapbox
Hate him. No, he is a joke. I first learned about him in the funny papers more than 20 years ago. Yes, even then he was a guy to laugh about. The newspaper strip Doonesbury lampooned often. They put out a "30 Years of Trump" book. In Gray Larsen's words. (toward the bottom) https://www.amazon.com/Yuge-30-Years-Doonesbury-Trump/dp/1449481337?asin=1449481337&revisionId=&format=4&depth=1 -

I am not sure if "Mad" would be the right term. But what really frightens me is that he reminds me of a "friend" I had in high school. We could be sitting with a group of people when he would start telling everyone in great detail about some adventure he and I had, that never happened, with me sitting there. Listening to him tell the story could almost make me believe it did. I think he truly did believe his own stories.

This is the part that was very telling about who they are and thier feeling about the working class The two men exchanged praise repeatedly, with the Tesla (TSLA.O) Trump congratulating Musk for his willingness to fire workers demanding better conditions. "You're the greatest cutter," Trump said. "I mean, I look at what you do. You walk in, you just say: 'You want to quit?' They go on strike - I won't mention the name of the company - but they go on strike. And you say: 'That's okay, you're all gone.'"

Regurgitating the same lie over and over makes you a liar weird. 30 pages and you have added nothing.

Not true. I know guys that were in an advanced supply unit. The Iraqis folded so fast that the unit didn't even find out the battle was over until the next day.

What are the best ways to meet other expats?
bunnydrops replied to Conan The Barbarian's topic in General Topics
Even out in the sticks, there are usually some Saturday get-togethers. Where I am they come from as far as 30km and depending on the season can get as many as 40 people counting the wifes showing up. Some faces are there all the time, new ones come and go. -
