Four 23-year-old men were arrested early Tuesday morning for the alleged gang rape and murder of a 24-year-old waitress in Sara Buri's Nong Khae district in August.

Police initially thought the woman had committed suicide after she was found hanging from a door in her boyfriend’s house.

But police arrested the four suspects at about 12.30am after a court issued arrest warrants.

They are Santi Thipamon, Nanthaporn Boonmak, a school director's son, Apipat Apinyakul, a Nong Khae-based police senior sergeant major's son, and engineering student Supakorn Sopa.

It has been reported that the men - one of whom was the victim's boyfriend - have confessed to the crime and will be brought to re-enact it at the crime scene this afternoon.

The men have been charged with gang rape, murder and concealing the cause of a death.

Their arrests were based on DNA and autopsy results, with police alleging the suspects attempted to mislead authorities into thinking the victim hanged herself.

The victim's parents, who live in Uthai Thani province, filed a complaint with deputy police commissioner General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul at police headquarters in Bangkok on Monday.

They claimed that there are suspicious elements about the case and the suspects are linked to influential figures.

Srivara went to Nong Khae on Tuesday to check on the investigation’s progress.

Sick bastards.

Time to forget about how high up relatives are, put them on trial, and if guilty, throw the book at them.

NO lenient sentences due to connections to any influential figures.

Looks like the student will carry the can, seems the others are in the clear, courtesy of connections. ?

Take away this poor girls life for a few minutes of sick enjoyment. Such a sad business.

If it were my daughter, it would be extremely sad for 4 others as well.

They have just been arrested. Should they have been executed by the custody sergeant?

Why are so many violent deaths caused by police army seniors sons.

Have they not told their sons it's not as easy to get away with murder as it used to be.

Yay for social media in Thailand.

Keeping the sods honest.

I dont see any mention of this particular case in your link?

Only 13% of reported rapes in Thailand end in conviction is pretty good compared to the UK where its only 7%, ergo says very little about Thailand, Hiso connections or even Denmark, you can read more at the link below on why rape convictions are low in nearly every country in the world.

Seems to be a theme of this Forum. There are a few more of this type on another thread concerning the abuse of a 14 year old.
Makes you wonder who you really have on here underneath the anonymous identities.

You should know, your trying to protect someone who is clearly guilty of murder.

Hutch68: In many cases, I don't usually agree with or condone what Greenchair usually posts, but have re-read this particular post of his and don't agree with your summation. Am I missing something?

They could have gotten away with it,at first the police said it was suicide,

wonder how many other "suicides",were actual murders.

Does that include hangings with arms bound behind back, shot twice in the head on the opposite side to weapon location etc.

The kill-kill-kill brigade think so.

You also on the other thread have a number of individuals whose sole interest is the supposed religion of the suspects , oddly enough they are not commenting here !!!
