giddyup Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Every time I go to Tesco on Sukhumvit I see a falang who sits on the wall as you drive in from Sukhumvit. It seems he is always there and I get the impression he's not quite normal, putting it politely. I just wonder how the guy survives here, he looks homeless, and does he have a visa, means of support etc. He's been there for so long I'm surprised the police haven't checked him out. He appears harmless, never seen him do anything other than just sit there staring at the ground.
Denim Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 That would be Mr Humpty. Recently had a fall and not quite together yet.

Or, if you are concerned with helping him it would be better to speak to him rather than asking strangers on Thai Visa.. how would anyone on here know anything about his visa status or means or support?!

The guy has been in the same place for so long, it's likely someone does know something about him, obviously you don't, and no, I have no interest in having him thrown out of the country, and yes, I would consider helping him if I could. If you have nothing but negative things to say you might consider moving on where you might have something useful to contribute.
SidJames Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I've seen him walking against the traffic in the fast of the Suk at dusk & he used to often walk up & down the middle of Thepprasit Rd. I seem to recall a poster off here saying that he was Swiss a few year back & lives in the back of the carpark behind the furniture store next to Tescos. He's more harm to himself than anyone else, the poor craythur

Seems he is known, so your comments were a tad premature.

johng Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I believe he sleeps at the Wat boon temple and probably gets food and water there too. One time I saw him skateboarding along Sukhumvit road in the fast lane with rucksack on back and big grin on his face but normally he walks.

Not your business, is he stealing/ raping/murdering, or other nasty deeds? No, then get on with your own life, and forget about him.

Don't be telling other people what they should or shouldn't do, you have no influence here, you're a nobody. Take your own advice and don't concern yourself with what other people do, it doesn't affect you.

What concern is it of yours what visa he has exactly, or his financial status? That is a job for the immigration office. If you want to know his attraction to Tesco car park.. go ask him. You seem to have some unhealthy fixation on the guy. Stalker? As for telling other posters not to tell other people what to do.. YOU then go and tell them what they should do and tell them 'as it does not affect them' So how does the poor guys at Tesco affect your life?.......... hypocrisy! Now you take you own advise... and don't go telling other people what they should or shouldn't do... that includes me.

People are free to start a post on any topic they like, as long as it doesn't break any forum rules, you are also free to respond in any way you like, as I do to reply, but I'm not going to be censored by nobodies. So, fffff-fade away.

A nobody who is deciding what should be posted on this forum, a self-appointed censor. Not sure how asking a question out of curiosity is interfering in another's business, but a nobody like you should be able to answer that, seeing that you are continually interfering in mine. Perhaps you should try and create a worthwhile post of your own instead of sniping from the sidelines, your usual MO.
