Receive Australia or UK Radio in Thailand

Featured Replies

Is there a way to receive Australian radio or UK radio in thailand?

I want to listen to BBC 5 live, Radio 2 and some Australian Radio such as WSFM, ABC Perth on AM, FM, DAB.

What kind of special satellite do I need to use to receive these stations?

and what radio station are you guys listening in thailand?

I tried iplayer but I can't listen to 5 live sports programme.

If you have an Android device go to the playstore and search UK radio.

Use your phone: download app TuneIn from the Google Playstore - will be able to listen to all of these and more, with ease. Can set your favourite stations and go from one to another with one touch.

Use bluetooth speaker paired with phone for added convenience.

Tunein also available on other platforms besides Android, such as PC browser, SmartTV (Samsung) etc.

Iplayer works fine for all BBC channels except for some sports programmes on 5Live which are geo-locked due to rights issues. The way round this is to use a VPN for those few programmes.

TuneIn only gives you the regular BBC feed so there is little point using it instead of the BBC's own site. TuneIn does not provide a 5Live feed for geo-locked programmes.
