How to get a United States NCIC criminal records check in Thailand? How to get an actual FBI background check using fingerprints?

Featured Replies

How do you get a United States FBI NCIC criminal background check from the United States if you've been living in Thailand for years?  How do you actually get it while residing in Thailand?  Is there a way that can be done?  I understand that the NCIC requires a form with your finger prints.  The last time I got one was 5 years ago when I was living in the United States so I understand how the process works I just don't know how to do it in Thailand.  I just want one for my own personal knowledge and if I ever want to apply for PR here in Thailand I'm sure I'll probably need it.

Not sure how the Good Ole USA does it but I have had to do more than one for employment living outside of Canada. Like you my Criminal Record Check was about 5 years old.

Having said that, then it is obviously not valid anymore. You could have robbed a bank, gone to jail, and out by now since the last time that was printed. If you got a new one, and lived in Thailand since then, it would still not be technically valid. You could have committed several crimes in Thailand by then to, which is not registered in Thailand.

What I do to get around that is to get a valid up-to-date records check here in Thailand, and fill in the older dates with my last Criminal Records Check from Canada. Works for me every time a never any questioned asked.
