500 baht fine and slip in wrist. They won't put a Thai to jail for crimes against foreigners.

That is a bit of a silly statement.

A friend of mine (foreigner) was shot and killed by Thais. The Thais are both still in jail.

Sad that you can make a joke over the death of my friend - 16 years ago. His wife and his friends (including me) still miss him.

About 150,000 hours give or take a week or two.

Sad that you bought in your friend to the topic as I was being ironic on a legal system and absolutely not on the deceased.

Sad also that you cited another fellow poster as a "silly statement" as you could have surely said things a bit more nicely.

agreed - It is not a silly but an idiotic statement.

To claim Thais don't go to prison for crimes against foreigners is not just outright wrong but completely ridiculous. I really don't get the bitterness of some posters.

Many of the bitter ones are mentally ill...Some from anti malarial drugs.

For every criminal case ends up in Jail, 10 or more avoids prison (thai crime against foreigners)

So assume 10% or less cases ends up in Jail permanently. Of course that is my assumption, not every case is published by media and nobody follows all cases that's published on media!
