"Good friends" attack each other with scissors in argument over Thai wife

Two men described as good friends ended up in hospital in the south of Thailand with multiple scissor wounds.

They had had a jealous argument over a Thai wife and both picked up large scissors in a melee.

Police went to a house near Ban Thale Song Hong school in Thung Yai district of Nakorn Sri Thammarat and found a lot of blood and two pairs of bloodstained scissors - one blue and one orange - lying about. There were also two empty bottles of spirits and glasses.

Foundation medics had already taken two men to hospital.

In ER police found Somkhid Suwanmoke, 45, with four stab wounds. He was drunk.

Two beds along was house owner Prayat Numnuan, 54, who had one wound to an arm. He was also inebriated.

Both men were released after X-rays as they were not in danger.

Prayat told police that Somkhid was a friend he loved. He had invited him over for drinks but he got annoyed when his wife, Wirawan, and Somkhid started making eyes at each other and Somkhid repeatedly touched her while engaging in conversation.

So in a jealous rage he picked up some scissors lying about and attacked his friend.

His pal then grabbed another pair of scissors and the fight continued.

Neighbors eventually split up the pair and called the authorities.

Police said that they had laid no charges yet and were waiting for one side or the other to make a case first.

This relationship doesn't bode well for the future.

Unless she gets away from it now, she could very soon be his next victim.

"Hey Thanks for the drinks, maybe I'll boink your wife, OK ?"

Surely there is a better way to kill someone than by giving them the snip

Be very careful in Thailand, even with your eyes.
There are some extremely jealous men here and if you dare to glance at their flimsily clad g/f for more than a split second they could suddenly become ultra judgemental and very crazy.

Obviously the character of bthe wife isnt that strong or may be behind him they had a thing going on and he just noticed it that day...who knows.

Ok, so the wife is actually thai, great info. Somebody might think she's from uruguay or something.

Is it possible to look at a photo of the lady as to decide whether she was worth fighting over or not :whistling:

beer goggles gents   :cheesy:

Two drunk Thai men, one Thai woman, two pairs of scissors.  Looks like the recipe for jolly evening of fun.  T.I.T.

Slutty wife

On reading the report, it does appear that the wife did not show any disapproval to the friend`s flirtatious behaviour. Nevertheless, no matter from which culture, a friend should never hit on a friend`s girlfriend or wife, it`s one of the taboos and just not done. If similar ever happened to me, doubt I would be able to trust my wife again, definitely a woman who is liable to cheat.
