A Nakhon Ratchasima man who allegedly threatened staff at a 7-Eleven store in Bangkok’s Lak Si district with a rifle early Tuesday morning and made off with Bt1,000 in cash was found to have committed suicide by hanging at a garage in Vibhavadi-Rangsit Soi 33 on Friday morning.

The body of Natthapong Sosut, 29, was found at 8am. Police found a four-page suicide note addressed to his family and police.

The note said Natthapong was remorseful for what he had done and had decided to commit suicide because he didn’t want to be in prison for the crime, which could carry up to a 15 years’ jail term. The note also told police he had used his own gun and ammunition for the robbery at the store hence there was no need to probe further.

Police sent the man’s body for autopsy to determine the cause of death while forensic officers inspected the scene.

The only sympathy is for the people affected by the armed raid.

Why write it this way? The story does not even hint at anything else.

maybe he wanted to hurry to next life before his Karma account get updated....

I'm sorry for him.

At least he felt remorse, so he had some kind of conciousness, whereas many others don't even seem to know of such.

To rob a 7/11 is stupid. Clerks are not allowed to keep more than a small amount of cash in the register at any time. They make frequent drops into a safe which no one on site has access.

I feel sorry for the guy .A life lost and staff at the shop  traumatized all for 1000 baht . At least he was remorseful unlike repeat offenders  who often commit more crimes even after a jail sentence .

It's written like that because it hasn't been confirmed that it was suicide.

"The note also told police he had used his own gun and ammunition for the robbery at the store hence there was no need to probe further".

That part of the "confession" is unusual, to say the least.

Oh! Very nice. You must have a heart the size of a pea. Can you also tell me how you have an 8,475 member's rating with 1,757 posts. :ermm: I'm not a maths genius but that's about 5 likes on average for every single post you've made. Mmmmmm?
