MINI Thailand is launching the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, the biggest and most versatile model in the entire range of the British brand.

The company said it has been equipped with the most powerful engine ever to be fitted in a MINI.

Preecha Ninatkiattikul, general manager of MINI Thailand, said, “The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is a unique sport activity vehicle that answers all the needs of those who yearn for space, speed and agility … offering a whole new level of versatility and functionality, as well as advanced technologies.”

The company said this sports activity vehicle combines racetrack excitement with MINI’s premium styling. The company said the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman boasts an ALL4 all-wheel-drive and a powerful Twin Power Turbo engine with 170kW / 231hp, catapulting it from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with the maximum speed of 234km/h and maximum torque of 350Nm at 1,450-4,500 rpm.

The combined fuel consumption is 14.2 km/litre and the combined CO2 emission is 161g/km. It has an 8-speed sport automatic transmission with shifter paddles at the steering wheel.

The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman offers a unique raised seat and track-style appearance with leather steering wheel. The MINI head-up display is designed to give a clear view of key driving data without disrupting the view of the road ahead, the company said.

MINI customers will be offered the MINI Service Inclusive (MSI) programme starting from the MSI Standard package including 3 years of maintenance or 60,000km and 3 years of unlimited mileage warranty.

I think that is by far the worst colour scheme I've ever seen on a car. It looks like a stuffed olive.
