Lamai to Maenam by songthaew?

Does anyone know how to go from Lamai to Maenam by songthaew?

 

I need to visit immigration.

 

Ive heard you need to take 2 different rides, but I don't know where you change.

You will see that when arriving in Chaweng soi1, after Ohm motor.

Some turn right to the beach road, some continue forward.

If they turn there get off and wait for one that doesn't turn.

Does anyone know if immigration is open on Saturday?

 

It says it's open 8-12 Saturday on Google Pages, but just says Mon-Fri on website.

 

If visa expires Sat 18th and you go on first day opening are you still charged 2 days overstay?

To my knowledge, the office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but may have changed on the new location in Maenam, if you read open 8-12 on Saturdays.
 

I found this page (from the old Nathon location) stating: 

Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 08:30–16:30 Lunch from 12:00–13:00

Closed: Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays

 

Another page also sates, they are closed Saturday and Sunday, and that overstay will be charged, when applying Monday.

 

Normally the ThaiVisa experts advise to apply for extension in advance, I even believe one can do it up to one week in advance.

Closed on weekends and government holidays. 

You can extend a tourist visa one week before expire date, extension starts at end of your permission to stay so you don't loose any days. 

For one year extension of non-O and non-B visas they want you to come 30 days before expire date. 

 

No overstay fee if over weekend, but long queues on Mondays.
