Traffic is held up there at the best of times especially coming into the monument.

I saw the pickup that wrapped itself around the light pole along that stretch last week at the Thalang Police station on Sat- looks like a piece of modern art now.

They should have left that pick-up wrapped around the pole as a "monument" to the way people drive / ride along that road.

Some countries in Southern Europe let relatives set up a religious symbol near the road where they have lost loved ones, maybe it could be a preventive here. On an afterthought it will hardly be space left for traffic signs....
