I used to think that until I looked at a stack of pictures and saw that bands can vary enormously!!! However it seems in pics you look at the Laotian Wolf Snake always has a complete colour band that covers the back half of the head.

However the Krait has only slight or no colour on the head. At most it is streaks that go up the side of the cheeks, the total headband cover seems to be confined to the Laotian Wolf Snake.

Kraits are not aggressive,unless you piss it off,the easiest way to identify a

Krait is that is body is triangular shape,with the bands.their prey is mostly

other snakes,including Cobras.

Many years ago saw an awesome fight between a Krait and a sizeable Cobra just outside Pai. Krait won !!
