Thai Police Officer Investigated Over 500 Baht Bribe Claim in Khon Kaen A Thai traffic police sergeant in Khon Kaen is under investigation after a viral video showed him accepting a 500 baht bribe. While the officer admitted to taking the money and claimed to have returned it, disciplinary and criminal proceedings have been initiated. Colonel Yoswat Kaewsupthanit confirmed the incident occurred in August and reassigned the officer during the inquiry. He criticized the officer for bypassing proper procedures, emphasizing that fines should be issued through official channels. A fact-finding committee has been set up to investigate, with results expected in seven days. -

Cheers - If he was behaving like a complete pest then thats good information. BUT - as it stands, we only have the word of the two guys who broke his noses - I'm highly doubt the veracity of their their account... Its also highly strange that two That guys in an area such as Pattaya will become 'good samaritans' and help an overtly dunken fool - its is that aspect which raises my eyebrows... No proof of course, but as others have mentioned - there seems a lot more to this story than meets the eye. -

How to make friends ... on forums like this (parts 1-2-3 of 9)
Over the years I've met with 6-8 forum members, for lunch or coffee. To a man (and two women,) all were nice, very pleasant people. Lunch conversation was enjoyable, interesting, and lively, and the lunch hour usually became two. But in fact, common interests were few so most of us slipped back into remaining 'forum friends' while friendships grew with a few. -
