Does anyone know of any decent bars in Patong (ideally on Nanai road) where I can play darts?

I've been to few now that have dartboards, but it's usually for decorative purposes, with tables in the way, no obvious throw line, etc.

I found this website, but it's very outdated:

http://www.dartsthailand.com/dartsbarphuket.php

The only one on that list that I've been to so far is 'Offshore Bar', which has the problems mentioned above. I think some of the other bars listed are perhaps no more, such as 'Beach House Bar' and 'Market Bar', because I couldn't find them when I rode down the road.

Thanks.

Sadly I think the darts league is a thing of the long time past. I could be wrong .... bash away.

Yes, I got that impression.

I'm not looking to play in a league though. I'm not good enough yet. I just enjoy practicing. I'm really just looking for place to practice. Perhaps I'll stumble upon someplace soon.

The starfish bar in Sainamyen Centre Point has a dart league which is doing very well.

Send me a pm if you need more information about the owner and location.

Just bumping this thread to say that I've been going to the Starfish bar regularly since merjin recommended it on this thread. It's a brilliant place to play darts and the Friday night competition is great fun. Here's more info on that:

They also do very good food and the owner Rod, is a top bloke.

I think the guys in green have banned darts. Someone correct me on this please. It was in the news last week or so.

I believe that you are right, they've been banned. Perhaps they were deemed as being dangerous. This in a country where you can be attacked with a sword, wielded by your taxi driver.

Not actually banned.  They just need a license, which is free - from a dart board association (or some such).

No it is not band but they need a license.

The bar in question has applied for this and therefore the darting is going on as normal.
