webfact Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Cambodian migrants killed in police chase A pickup truck carrying 21 undocumented Cambodian migrants being chased by police ploughed into a roadside canal in Chachoengsao early Friday and flipped over, killing four of the occupants. Plaeng Yao police arrived on the scene off Kabin Buri-Sattahip Road in Moo 10, Tambon Hua Samrong, at 2.30am. They found four Cambodians. Rescue workers pulled the pickup out of the water and the bodies of two men and a woman were found inside. The body of another man was discovered in the canal. The survivors told police that 21 undocumented Cambodians were being smuggled by a Thai driver and two other Thais from Sa Kaew to Samut Prakan. Six of the migrants had been riding in the cab and 12 more in the back. They said the truck had just crossed from Prachin Buri into Chachoengsao when a Highway Police car gave chase. The driver lost control on the dark and narrow village road. Maybe they will restrict 'hot pursuits' like they do pretty much everywhere else except Hollywood. I seriously doubt the Thai Highway Patrol has a lot of experience beyond leading buses full of boy scouts.
ChrisY1 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 The writers math is dreadful.....4 bodies in the cab, one found later.....6 in the cab and 12 in the back.....then "21 undocumented Cambodians" plus 2 Thais..."killing 4 of the occupants" I get 5 killed, 23 people in the vehicle..??

PAIBKK Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Those Thai calculators... They better buy an original Japanese Casio than those Thai Casio knock offs.
Phatbeets Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Terrible. Those peeps came here to work hard for peanuts wages and are now dead. If they fled like this, risking it all, you can imagine there is obviously a reason why they would do that
