ICE vs EV, the debate thread
Ridiculous political grand standing and protectionism from the self proclaimed free market leader of capitalism. Poor Americans forced to pay more for inferior products but, you know, USA! USA! USA! The rednecks will be happy. Pay more for a terrible Ford than get a great BYD. I hope China bans Teslas, Apple and other American products in response. Trade wars don't end well for anyone but if Trump or Biden is dumb enough to start one then let them fail. And of course I am sure Musk has no hand in this, no siree, no conflicts of interest there. Meanwhile the rest of us will be able to buy superior products at good value prices. Let America drown in its own nationalist excrement. -

You still don't get it. The democrats lawfare ultimately cost them the election. Not a single human alive can categorically state the underlying crime that jacked up a long expired misdemeanor into 34 felonies. Obviously you don't know, but luckily most Americans knew it didnt pass the sniff test. Garland ought to be jailed the second he steps down, contempt of congress got Bannon and Navarro jailed, but Garland can do it freely?? Er, no. Nobody is above the law(remember that mantra that aged oh so badly🤣) Time to accept it. Mr Peacefully and Patriotically is your new President.- 1

Is it better to buy or rent property in Thailand as an expat?
Renting is far more stress free. It also gives you more freedom. What if you may got tired of here(for some reasons) in any future? If you are just paying month to month, you can move as soon as you change your mind. But once you buy one, it will make a shackle of your life. It simply creates more otherwise needless concerns. -

Agreed - depends on your poison. For booze and coke - they knock you out on Benzos for a few days to prevent seizures. For heroin - I think that's a much longer taper off. But the activities and treatments - like CBT - do vary a lot - as do the availability of medical professionals on site.
