3 times in row now i didn't get 10% discount if i pay by Rabbit at Mc Donalds.

 

I told them the sticker on the cardreader says 10% discount but they wouldn't give it to me this time. (the other times they gave it after telling them about their fault).

 

The manager said the cheeseburgerset was already in the promotion (for 89) but on their menu it showed as full price. She wouldn't give me the 10% discount.

 

I think this is not allowed by MacDonalds and it gives them a bad reputation, for me this is a scam..they should remove the sticker from the cardreader.

 

Did you guys notice the same? It happened in 3 different Mac restaurants to me.  (and no i don't care about the 10 baht but it's just that i have never ever been scammed by MacDonalds, whereever i was on the world).

Getting old, what on earth is payment by Rabbit?  Did you tried pay them with mouse too  .... Did you tried call the police about the scam?  There is a old saying we eat what we are. 

 

 

This is just traggic .....   no 10% discount on the burger.  The world really is messed up   !

Do you have the McDonald's co-branded Rabbit card? IIRC it's only that card which gets the discount.

 

Discounts usually can't be stacked (it will be in the terms and conditions somewhere). Already discounted, no further discount.

 

What price was displayed for the burger, what did you pay?

I did get that 10% discount before with the same card in the same branch of MD.

 

If something in promotion is not valid for the 10% than they should not use that sticker which says pay by rabbit andn get 10% off.

 

Also items in promotion should have discounted prices on the menu i would think.

 

It's just another Thai scam, this time under the flag of Mac Donalds.

I've checked with "one who knows" apparently you can get the discount with any Rabbit  card. But you can't combine with another promotion.

That is pretty standard with any promotion anywhere.

Just got back from taking the kids to McDonalds.

 

The price of the cheeseburger SET, including fries and a Coke, is 89 baht. This is a promotion vs. the normal menu price of ordering these 3 items separately which is around 130 baht.

 

The price of the cheeseburger by itself, is 65 baht. If the OP had ordered just the sandwich and not the set, he could have received the 10% discount.

 

Sounds like in the past someone had been mistakenly giving promotions on the sets, and this was stopped, triggering the OP's anger. Not surprising, but also nothing to be concerned about. It is just a normal way companies have of misrepresenting discounts off of their inflated retail prices.

On the big menu above the counter was cheeseburger set 89 baht, nothing which tells it's promotion. 

 

And i thought the rabbit-10% discount is for using the card so the Mac receives less cash which saves them time and security.

 

In India the mac just closed 300 franchises, guess they didn't follow the Mac-rules.

 

MacD doesn't cheat customers, also not in Thailand.

How many times do i have to write that it was NOT in promotion?? I don't know the prices of their menu so if it is in promotion they should write it on the menu.
