Budget accommodation in Patong

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a budget accommodation next week (weekdays) in Patong.

Just a simple, clean room. No other extras needed.

I searched on TA and could find some places incl. Tax for around 700 Baht.

Or could I just pop in and look for a hotel once I arrive.

Best regards

100's of places on the third road an also in the huge area south of town on the right, before u head up the hill to Le Merdian,

I always look, in vain, for the Patong expert to give some helpful suggestions about his home town.

Tonya guesthouse. 1 minute walk to beach. I was there for New Years. Nice staff.

Whereas I always wait for the upcountry or Pattaya experts to chip in!  :stoner:

Always "hundreds of places" but never a phone number or personal experience.

Still very much high season where it's all double or triple rates... Good luck!!!

I know a place for 4500 on soi sirilanna but its monthly. Theres lots around there the same anyway. Theres an indian run hotel with 500 baht rooms.

I kroon hotel and other good cheap hotels are next soi over.

Really spoilt for choice.

Get dropped at sirilanna hotel and walk that area and call the numbers on signs etc.

Dozens of places (guest houses) along Nanai road in the 600 baht range.

Found one on the internet in Nanai for 511 baht, another nearby at 775 baht so they are not so scarce.....Google budget accommodation Patong and look around.

Anything 1000 baht or below that a night is cheap accomodation in Patong in my opinion, i am sure plenty of people will disagree

easy to find a room with air con, hot water, wifi, cable all year round in Patong for under 800 baht

what more do you need?

NO, i dont consider that cheap...

cheap is under 400

Why is it so damn hard to provide a link? I can give 200 links at 3to 5k a night lol

Because these low budget places really have little to no web presence and the like's of Agoda have little interest in their 10 - 15% commission on such small amounts.

They are out there. A quick search shows up Smith residance in a desirable area but tiny rooms, 8k and up plus electricity at 8 baht /unit more than double the government rate.

Apart from some new start ups 15% is the minimum charged, rising to 35% if the hotel signs up for preferred ranking.

Cheap hotels really can't afford to be signed on with the big boys of the internet.

For smaller hotels (<50 rooms?) Call direct and cut out the middle man.
