Vibhavadi Road to be beautified

By The Nation

A seven-kilometre stretch of the Vibhavadi Rangsit Highway in north Bangkok is to be beautified with flowering trees and cleansed drainage ditches dotted with water plants.

Chatuchak District Office director Pokkrong Polamuang on Monday unveiled plans for the “Beautiful Vibhavadi Rangsit for Asean” project aimed at turning the segment from the Bang Sue Canal to Bang Khen Canal into a new “landmark”.

It’s a joint effort by the district, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s Environment Department, Highways Department and private sector.

Roadside ditches are to be refilled with clean, clear water and water plants.

Pokkrong said the project follows BMA policy to grow more trees.

um this stinks?  clean , clear water and water plants.

Somthing stinks, and it stinks worse than the klongs running paralel to Wipawadi currently.

Anything they can do to brighten up this god awful road gets the nod from me.

It's give something for drivers to look at while stuck in traffic...
