A Sai Mai refuse collector doing his early morning rounds today found a black bag in an oil drum used as a rubbish bin.

As Sammart Ninbanjong was preparing to tip the contents of the drum in the refuse truck he decided to take a look inside the bad.

Wrapped in a black t-shirt was the corpse of a baby girl.

He made the find opposite the market of Wat Koh in Pahonyothin Roiad soi 54/1 intersection 4 around 3am.

A soy milk vendor nearby said they saw nothing until they shut up shop at 11pm.

Police have sent the body to the hospital to try to ascertain whether the baby died in the uterus or was born then died. This will have an impact on the resolution of the case and any possible future charges.

They are studying CCTV to get a lead in the matter.

Thai Rath reported that the baby was well formed and had been in the uterus at least six months.

Possible future charges??? I sincerely hope it´s illegal to throw a human beeing, dead or alive, in a waste bin.
Naturally it will be possible future charges.
