Advice on purchase of older toyota/isusu 4x4 2 door pickup
The pickup models from the mid 90's to early 2000's were new enough to suffer lest rust than predecessors, but old enough to still offer simple (less powerful) diesel engines with mechanical injection and no turbo. These were longer lasting and cheaper to maintian for farm / local use. E.G. 6th gen Hilux / 3rd gen Triton. The next generation included common rail fuel systems and turbo twin cam diesel engines. Auto transmissions and ABS became more common on high trim levels and crash safety improved considerably. These perform much better on the highway, but the common rail system and turbo dramatically increase engine rebuild cost, when the time comes. Toyota Hilux, Isuzu Dmax, Mitsubishi Trition and Ford ranger as above, all seemed pretty solid to me. They are all reliable, if not abused or worn out. The Hilux and Dmax generally sell for higher prices, Mitsu and Ford being better value. I have less experience with the Nissan Navara, Chev Colorado, and Mazda BT50. The BT50 should be similar to the Ranger, Colorado similar to Dmax. With vehicles of this age, the biggest difference will be related to their condition and maintenance. -

14-Year-Old Girl Recovers After School Bus Fire Tragedy
A 14-year-old girl, who was injured in a school bus fire incident on Tuesday, is gradually improving and has started physical therapy, according to the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. The girl's condition is moving towards betterment as there are no signs of fever or infection from the burns on her arms. She is now able to carry out some tasks by herself, even as the rehabilitation team continues to assist her. Although she is able to sleep and appears calm, further mental health assessments for her and her family are to be carried out by the institute. During the horrific fire incident, the girl was amongst those who were able to escape as the coach went up in flames. The unfortunate incident led to the death of 20 school children and three teachers. The students were from a school in Uthai Thani’s Lan Sak district. They were on a day trip to Nonthaburi when the tragedy struck. Funeral services for the victims will be held at the school, under royal sponsorship, and will be overseen by Privy Councillor President Surayud Chulanont, with other high-ranking government officials attending. Chada Thaised, Bhumjaithai's MP for Uthai Thani, disclosed today that due to the high number of fatalities, help from private sector crematoriums had been sought. The planned funeral site is currently partially flooded, but necessary adjustments will be made, he mentioned. Family members of the diseased put toys, like footballs and dolls, on the coffins in memory of their deceased loved ones. A few were seen shedding tears. Today, former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai visited the funeral site to pay his respects to the departed. He encouraged everyone to learn from this tragic accident, which took many young lives, and work towards how such incidents could be avoided in the future. Must Read Bus Owner Caught Trying to Hide Illegal Gas Cylinders After Deadly Fire
We always refused over the school years to allow our daughter to go via the local transport for field trips, driving ourselves or having her fly to that location with a couple of other students whose parents felt as we did about the safety of our children. When I saw the initial pictures of the CNG setups, I told my wife they appeared to be BOMBS just waiting for an accident...and these were those that were "legal". -

Brexit Tensions Resurface Amid Starmer's Push for Youth Mobility Scheme
This pointless and needless action is going to cost money: "As part of the deal, the U.K. will retain sovereignty of Diego Garcia for an initial period of 99 years, and will pay Mauritius an undisclosed rent. It will also create a “resettlement” fund for displaced Chagossians aimed at letting them move back to the islands other than Diego Garcia." https://apnews.com/article/uk-mauritius-chagos-diego-garcia-base-37d13bf54f9769f3621bd41d08a448f8 How much will it cost the UK then to rent these islands then? There is a reason it is "undisclosed" as it will be an embarrassing amount of money. There was no urgent need for this. Nobody was making lots of noise about it. The only reason for it is a distraction. I understand their need to change the news agenda as they are getting hammered for Free gear kiers penchant for gifts from sugar daddies, but this will cost yet more taxpayers money being frittered away abroad for nothing in return. Argentina will be next demanding the Falklands, followed by Spain with Gibraltar as they have seen how weak and useless these clowns are. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
Yeah but meanwhile, my finances are SUPER simple - US govt civil service pension (nonassessable to Thailand, Have an LTR so exempted there too even if the DTA didn't cover my income. I have no other assessable income so everythiing I remit into Thailand is non taxable. But I am sure some folks will look at your spreadsheet and see something familiar which might help them out. I do wish all a happy tax season - hopefully we will not be affected much anyway.
