A 72 year old former commander in the navy was shot three times with a 9mm gun outside his house in Ratchaburi yesterday.

His new wife was shot twice in the shoulder and is in hospital.

Muang Ratchaburi police and forensics at the scene in the Ban Huay Moo estate found Commander Chaiyut in a pool of blood.

He had been shot in the forehead, chest and abdomen. Casings and bullets were all around.

Relatives had already ferried a 50 year old woman called Somjit to hospital after she was shot twice in the left shoulder, the bullets exiting through her back.

The hunt is on for Somjit's estranged husband Dorkrak, 50. He split up with her three years ago and police said that he arrived in a Nissan pick-up with the couple's two children to attempt a reconciliation.

But an argument broke out leading to the shootings.

He fled in the direction of the Ratchaburi - Suan Pheung Road.

Police said he was jealous of his ex-wife's new affair.

RIP old chap. But Thai men get severely jealous when you torpedo their ex wife here.

RIP to the poor man and to his survivors.

A golden rule in life is never to mess with another chap's booty.

These shootings by jealous ex husbands seems the be taking over from Chinese killed in bus accidents!

Yes, my house, my car, my wife, a little primitive but world wide accepted.

No not always a rule for all...some don't care for their chick...they are called swingers !!:cheesy:

small people with small brains.

He was jealous, there are big men with big brains everywhere who do the same thing, detachment from things, people and circumstances is a learning process that most realize minuets before they die.

Somjit must of been a real good looker, at least for her age. To stir that much emotion in another after 3 years of divorce. Hope she recovers fully and finds another rice bowl (if needed) quickly.
