I agree with you here, and in all fairness, it should also be pointed out that in Western countries, 'occasional prostitution' is on the rise, as young people are brainwashed into thinking that possessing the latest Iphone is more important than knowing who Van Gogh, Vivaldi and Voltaire were (and that's just a trio of Vs !).

 

So called 'social' apps are massively hijacked for weekend prostitution, and the kids seem less and less concerned about the morality of it all.

I quoted the full statement as you seem unaware of what he said, and how inappropriate it is from a government minister. He threw a cheap shot at Thailand in order to sell an image of Gambia which is patently untrue. When Thailand made it's ludicrous official denials that it had any prostitution last year, one thing it didn't do is stoop to insulting other countries to try and deflect from the issue.
