That quote is months old.  It may be less expensive now.

Gearbest.com who I have found to be a very reliable online retailer has the i-5 version for $779 & the i-7 for $899

Orders from Gearbest usually take around  10-14 days to arrive in Bangkok.  Use standard shipping as using FedEx or DHL usually results in duty charges.

Also, make sure you understand the warranty policy
